Trail Blog #1: Trails Offroad

To start off my trail blog, I’d like to explain my preferred and recommended way to plan trips and see how difficult the trail will be.  I use Trails Offroad, an app and website that provides waypoint photos of obstacles and campsites, video and photos from the trail, difficulty ratings, and much more.  The app lets you download statewide maps for offline use and includes public land boundaries, a follow mode, and the ability to record your route. You can collaborate your trail plans with friends and plan custom routes as well.

My favorite part is the waypoint photos.  Trails Offroad lists all obstacles you will come across and even includes tips on the best line, what armor, lift ,or tire size you may need, and any optional bypasses the obstacle may have.  Being a Gladiator owner, with its extremely long wheelbase and problems with departure angle due to the bed, the feature is extremely useful and can save you from damaging your rig.
